The World’s Hottest Chile

Do you like spicy and hot food? If so, you will love this news.

El Pinto Restaurant & Cantina from Albuquerque (USA) has developed a new chile sauce, called New Mexico Scorpion chile, and they claim so strongly this is made with the “world’s hottest chile pepper” that they applied to the Guinness World of Records.

The ‘hotness’ of the chile is measured in Scoville units, that are calculated based on how many drops of water it takes to remove a chile’s heat, and the producers of Scorpion say that it has 1 191 595 Scoville Heat Units.

A jar of this new sauce can cost around 42€, but it’s only sold in certain places.

This sauce contains also some tomatoes, so people may be able to eat it.
